When performing a STD doctor consultation via telephone, a physical examination which is often required to support the medical decision process and confirm a diagnosis, can not be performed. Therefore you may be advised to visit a health care provider. During a STD doctor telephone consultation the MDSTD doctor may provide medical advice, suggestions and if required, assistance with finding additional healthcare providers. In certain situations when and where medically appropriate, treatment may be provided. All treatment will require follow up with the healthcare provider of your choice.
If you have lab and or other diagnostic test results the MDSTD expert doctor is happy to receive them as part of your telephone consultation prior to the consultation. In those situations a fax line will be provided at the time of payment. However, the MDSTD expert doctor is dependent on you for their completeness and accuracy. Interpretation of diagnostic studies usually must be combined with a physical examination and therefore any interpretation we give is at best limited and restricted.
